A²O Cladding and Taylor Maxwell won the brick slip category at the Awards Ceremony last week. A big thank you to Façade Awards UK for this award!

The winning project was York House, Windsor, a commercial office refurbishment.

The judges said “the use of brick slip on York House demonstrates a very high standard of design and workmanship. It involved a complicated design and install process with multiple elevations and material combinations used. The overall standard of work carried out is excellent!”

For A²O, the success of this project was in large part down to the Willmott Dixon approach of early engagement for key specialist partners, almost 2 years prior to our start on site, and allowing us to have an early positive influence on the design, coordination and programming. 

By taking on all wall elements including SFS, corium brick slips, stone, render and glazing, A²O had complete control over interface detailing and coordination.

The end result is a building everyone can be proud of, completed on time and with a final account only 0.48% above the original order value. Not bad for a refurb!
